Dr. St Louis has helped me so much, surgery went beautiful. I would definitely recommend him to others. Six weeks after surgery- pain free.

I was a 65 year old obese black woman with severe back pain. I was unable to sleep at night without pain and I could not sit very long or walk a block without pain. Several neurosurgeons refused to do surgery on my back due to my weight. Dr. Phillip St Louis asked me to try to lose weight but he did the surgery. I stayed in the hospital two days; I mean major surgery on my back. I never had to take pain pills after the first month. Now I don’t have any pain in my back, he did a great job! I would highly recommend him and I never took strong narcotics after surgery. Thanks to God for sending Dr. St Louis to me and his nurse who assured me he was a great surgeon.

I want to thank you for accepting me as a client. I think it is wonderful that some doctors take the extra step to help those that do not have the ability to pay or pay little. If you had not taken the time to find the problem I would still be in pain without any chance of recovery. I have been in and out of doctor’s offices looking for help/answers and they looked at the MRI and passed me by. The discogram saved me so thank you for what you do. May God bless you and continue to guide your hands in surgery.

Dear Dr. St Louis,
You recently operated on my son Brian and saved his life. Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done. Brian is at the Sunbelt Rehab Center in Apopka and is doing very well. He recently was able to start moving his left leg. He has a way to go but is improving nicely. Just wanted to thank you again for his life and the marvelous work that you do.

After 20 years, Dr. St Louis remembered me, surprise! He hasn’t changed at all. Still the charismatic, loving, caring gentleman, as well as a fine doctor. His bed-side manner is superb as it was 20 years ago. We need to clone him, then would take one of them home with me. Love you Dr. St Louis.

Prior to coming to Dr. St Louis, I was unable to walk steadily. Almost immediately after surgery I was able to walk in a normal manner! I love this office! Everybody is so nice and genuine!

For several years, I endured excruciating pain in my lower back and legs. I was administered physical therapy, treatment at a pain clinic, and pain medications. The above therapies only provided me temporary relief.
A former patient referred me to Dr. St Louis. His diagnosis was Lumbar Spinal Stenosis and he performed the surgery. After the surgery, I made a remarkable recovery and have been pain free for almost two years. I do not have the words to express my appreciation for Dr. St Louis. In addition to being a very competent diagnostician and neurosurgeon, his compassion and consideration are most commendable. His professionalism radiated throughout his office staff.
I feel very fortunate and thankful I had Dr. St Louis as my neurosurgeon.

Dear Dr. St Louis,
I wanted to share my experiences with you from a patient’s perspective. As a healthy man, I began this journey going to see my family doctor for neck pain. This progressed into trips to see pain management, a chiropractor, a neurologist and physical therapy before coming to see you for another opinion.
Once I made the decision to consult with a surgeon, I went online to research my options and possible outcomes. The internet is filled with research sites, forums and patient experiences that inundated me with poor results and horror stories. This only added to my fears for my visit with your office.
Upon my first visit to Associates in Neurosurgery, I was set at ease by your staff and welcomed your office. After meeting you, I was reassured that my condition and symptoms were normal and to be expected with this diagnosis. You presented my options in a straight forward manner that emphasized that this could be a temporary condition for me. The surgical option you outlined was easy to understand and follow versus everything I had researched previously.
Now, two weeks after surgery, I am almost completely pain free. Prior to surgery I would have rated my pain an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. I am so thankful and blessed to have found you and your office. If I can ever speak to anyone considering surgery or your services, I would be happy to share my experiences and to let them know the wonderful difference you have made in my life.

Dear Dr. St Louis,
My mother was a patient of yours. She was in need of a bi-level cervical fusion. I accompanied her to your office. I was sixteen years old, and you asked me what I wanted to do with my life. When I replied “pharmacist”, you suggested I look into Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I never heard of the college and said would look into it.
It is now the day before I move into my dorm at FAMU. I will be majoring in Pre-Pharmacy. I have received the Distinguished Scholar Award; a scholarship that has covered my tuition and fees, as well as my housing deposit. Though I have worked very hard to acquire this scholarship, I realize that I am too blessed to have received it.
The point of this letter is to thank you for turning my attention to the right direction. I had no idea of the magnitude of your suggestion. The school’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services contributes to 25% of the nation’s black pharmacists, and their pre-pharmacy program promotes a 100% pass rate on the PCAT or Pharmacy entrance exam. I am in good hands and have nothing but gratitude towards your advice.

Dr. St. Louis has been my doctor for 20 years. I have had two surgeries with him and I am very happy with my results. He made the quality of my life much better. He has a warm heart and great sense of humor. Dr. St. Louis travel to St. Thomas once a month for 5 years to do surgery where they never had a neurosurgeon. That is dedication and a love of helping others. I also know that many years ago he spent two months volunteering (at his own expense) in Ghana where they only had two neurosurgeons for 15 million people. Not many doctors will share their God given talents in that way. I am blessed to have him as one of my doctors. I highly recommend him to any one.
I have been under his care for 4 years now and 3 brain operations , all of were done great and made my quality of life much better. I’m a 34 year old father of 6 and still sharing time with my children, because of him. I would and have without thought passed his name on and will continue to do so. 2 years ago, I was experiencing pain in my left leg while walking. I had a MRI completed. I went on the internet and for some reason called his office. His office was the best decision I ever made.
He explained to me what was wrong and the procedure he would be doing. I agreed and had the operation March 2010. Within a month I felt well enough to start walking again. I now walk briskly for 45 minutes a day 5 to 7 days a week. I had a remarkable recovery and can thank Dr. St. Louis for that. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon. -Walter M

Dear Dr. St Louis and Tara,
I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to walk like a 60 year old instead of a 90 year old. My quality of life has greatly improved- I can even dance “Electric Slide” without fear of falling. I appreciate that you never “settled” and kept trying to make adjustments to improve my walking. Both friends and family noticed a big change.
Also, a thank you to your office staff for always being friendly and most of all helpful. David and I are always treated with the utmost respect.
